BSOD igdpmd64.sys
I have several HP ProBook 4530s Base Model Notebooks that have suddenly begun crashing. 0x00000050 and pointing to igdpmd64.sys. Any ideas on what may be causing this?
I just want to say that I have a Sony Vaio VPCSB2C7E with Intel HD3000 and ATI 6470m, and since I tried to update both drivers to "play" with the graphics switching function, I am facing these BSOD. And I don't have this KB installed... So far no change after many uninstall/reinstall of different version of the drivers (orginal, up to date...)
Same problem here - tried uninstalling KB 2893519 but it still fails intermittently This is something in the latest patches
Open Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall Programs > View Installed Updates > Find and uninstall KB2670838 > Restart computer > Open Windows Update > Check for Updates > Under optional downloads find KB2670838 right click and HIDE it.
Getting same problem on HP DV7 with win 7 as of latest patch Tuesday. BSOD points to igdpmd64.sys Removing KB2670838 (installed 2/13/2013) seemed to fix the periodic BSOD. The BSOD seemed to be timed with the 30min swap of screen backgrounds.
Got the KB2670838 installed again on win 7 box when updated to IE 11 even tho KB2670838 was not on the list of updates. Removed once again, checked if appeared on lists of updates, it didnt, but changed from auto update option to ask first
Worked for me. Thank you so much!
Error Code:unexpected_kernel_mode_trap wdf01000.sys
This is Satyajit from India. I've been facing a problem since past 4-5 days with my laptop. A message gets displayed every now & then, whenever I'm browsing internet: unexpected_kernel_mode_trap wdf01000.sys. I'm using a dial-up connection for accessing the internet. As per some of the similar problems posted on the community, I also have copied the minidump files & the link for those files is: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=2C2D10CD6497F0C7%21651. Please help.
If u are using your modem in USB 3.0.....u may face such kinda problems....due to the incompatibility of USB modem Driver.....try using USB 2.0 port !!!! Hope It helps :)
Satyajit, If the device is not compatible with Windows 8.1, you can install the driver in Window 7 compatibility mode: Refer to this help link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/older-programs-compatible-version-windows Keep us posted.
Hi Satyajit, All of the attached DMP files are of the UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f) bug check. This bug check indicates that the Intel CPU generated a trap and the kernel failed to catch this trap. Regards, Patrick
Thank you Sir for your response. I would like to tell u that the problem is because of a driver that I think isn't compatible with Windows 8.1 or Windows 8. It is related to the the USB modem that I use for browsing internet, but I don't know why another modem of the same service provider which uses a rather older technology does run well with Windows 8 or higher versions. The modem is a CDMA data card of BSNL in the name of EVDO data card of Prithvi Technologies. Will u please tell me whether there is any solution to have an update of this driver. I'm hereby giving some links which gives a solution to this driver problem. Will you guide me whether any of these will work or not? 1.http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/i-am-unable-to-install-my-evdo-prithvi-modem-in/7052b739-dc87-4572-9795-eba853c1283f 2.http://www.newstelecom.info/2013/03/solved-install-bsnl-evdo-modem-in-windows-8-step-by-step/ 3.http://techtotalers.blogspot.in/2013/06/how-to-insta
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (igdkmd64.sys)
So regularly but not always when I unplug my surface from the surface dock and the tablet is asleep I get a blue screen with SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (igdkmd64.sys) error. I have been reading up and see it is to do with the intel graphics card but I am unsure how to rectify the problem. I have checked to see that windows is up to date and checked via device manager that the graphics card is up to date. Any help on this annoying issue would be much appreciated
I had that issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a solution so I went and reset the SP3 to factory defaults (taking me back to W8.1). Then from there on, reinstalled everything all over again. Haven't had an issue since. I am assuming there were some drivers in one of the updates that caused the issue. Now that I skipped to the latest update, I skipped the issue as well.
That's annoying but thanks
Problem with Netwtw04.sys
Dear all, my (four month old) laptop continues to freeze every 10 minutes with a reference to netwtw04.sys. A link to my DMP-files: https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ag6hNy5fcqktbfgt-BIEp3tWnfo I could really use some help...
Hi Jo, Errors like the one you are experiencing are usually caused by drivers that are not running well with the system. To determine why you are getting this on your laptop, kindly answer these questions: Did the problem start after installing new programs or updates? Does the issue occur regardless of what programs you open? What suggestions have you looked into and tested? We suggest you check for available updates and install them. Some programs or drivers that are outdated may be causing conflicts with your operating system. To know how you can check for updates, refer to this page . Let us know if the problem goes away after installing the updates. Regards.
Hi Ruz, many thanks for the reply. I'm running windows 10 which is on automatic updates and fully updated. The problem did occur four days ago after patching a game I am currently beta-testing, so that's what I first suspected. But after trying to figure out if anyone else reported this kind of problem in the pegasus forum (the game is called steel division normandy 44), I encountered my problem while only browsing the internet, without having opened the game before (it's installed, though). So that was when I googled "pc crash netwtw04.sys" and found some threads in this forum here, most of them telling people to look for their dmp-files and upload them for help. I did manually install the newest driver for my graphics card as a precaution (it should do that automatically, too but I am not really sure). Do you have a suggestion what other drivers may have caused the problem?
There is a possibility that this is a network driver issue. To further troubleshoot the issue, kindly verify the following: Have you tried uninstalling the network driver and then restart your PC? Have you tried updating the network driver? You can check the manufacturer's support site to check for the latest drivers. We're looking forward to your response.
ar5211.sys
need file
Google is your friend... In this case, asking about that file name turns up http://www.file.net/process/ar5211.sys.html , which says the file is a driver for D-Link wireless adapters. (Which means you're way off-topic for this forum.) Then there's a 5-year-old thread at http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,16799071 -- at least dslreports.com is a reputable site, unlike a lot of the ones that offer free downloads -- that includes hyperlinks to the D-Link support site and other places you may find the right file. You need to know what model of adapter you have, and look on the D-Link site for that model.

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Qcamainx64.sys)
Someone please help! I get the blue screen coming up about 5 times a day restarting my computer saying DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Qcamainx64.sys) I have tried searching for this error message everywhere and can see nothing on (Qcamainx64.sys). It seems to happen only when I am connected to Eduroam (my university internet server) has this got anything to do with it? I have updated all my drivers, changed the power settings and completely scanned my computer using command prompt but nothing has worked. The computer is only about 3 weeks old! Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!
We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

I totally formatted my C: drive and reinstalled Win 8.1. Same problem occured. Finally I found out that Acer had installed false drivers. Anyone who doesn't know what driver should they download then just turn around your laptop and there is a little sticker which says: "This device contains WLAN + Bluetooth module xxxxxxx 344 for me." Thank you for your help! The problem was with the WLAN driver.
The BSOD were caused by the same driver and the cure is also the same. Completely remove the current one and install the newest driver available.
I'm having the same problem at my school wireless network. Even after full format and reinstalling drivers. I was just gaming like usual and I got this BSOD error, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (dxgmms1.sys). I don't know what's causing this.

I suspect the fastest way would be a clean install but that obviously means you have to re-install all the apps. You should also make sure you have the win 7 serial number
If Windows 7, then Windows 7 RE works well . Booted, chose repair, repair failed, chose Advanced Options and then command prompt. At command prompt found my OS on D: and then renamed the Keycrypt64.sys and hpqkbfiltr.sys (if an HP computer). rebooted with USB mouse/keyboard. Uninstalled Constant Guard. Rebooted . then renamed the keyboard/mouse file not the Keycrypt64.sys file . Rebooted one more time for good luck and all was fine. Many thanks to those who solved this one. David
When you use a utility dvd does it boot up or does it take you some where else? Im using some program GNU GRUB 2.00 i dont know if that is the same as the DVD you use?
I tried to do a small memory dump. However, the changes for that do not seem to be recorded. Running sysdm.cpl and selecting the 256K small memory dump and clicking OK does not save the settings. The large memory dump was the best that I was able to do.
I am getting the same error. I am not able to boot is safe mode either. I have system repair disk and I was able to boot it once with it. But after a reboot it's always ending up to blue screen irrespective of choosing "safe mode" or system repair disk. I do not have any backup :( Is there anyway to make t work or need to reinstall the Windows 7. Thanks.
We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking. If you are overclocking stop. I've just done 3 of these in a row for customers after Comcast apparently pushed out a Constant Guard update last week. The short version of fixing this is as follows: 1) Boot system from any utility DVD that allows you to browse the hard drive to copy/paste/delete existing files on your C: drive (I use Ghost 14 browse utility DVD). 2) Make safe copy of c:\windows\system32\drivers\hpqkbfiltr.sys in a location of your choice so you can retrieve the copy in step 4 below. Now delete the hpqkbfiltr.sys file from the system32\drivers folder (this removes the conflict causing BSOD's but disables HP stock keyboard and mouse for the moment). 3) Attach an external USB keyboard with USB mouse plugged directly in to the side port on the keyboard (such as a DELL or MSFT keyboard that has a built-in USB hub) and boot the HP laptop...it will come up functioning now. Use the external keyboard and mouse to navigate to control panel/programs and remove the dreaded Comcast Constant Guard! 4) Reboot and
Bob that worked perfectly, thanks for doing the leg work on that one. This same procedure can be done by putting the affected hard drive into another computer or docking station and I was able to work with just a mouse

enum1394.sys?
Hello everyone. Well as you can tell by my post count, my first time here but not my last. Well I have an older computer (2001) that has Windows XP Home Edition (it works fine for me right now as i have external memory and I'll buy a laptop later this year). In any case I need to transfer video from my DV camcorder to my computer so i can edit some vacation footage. As instructed I purchased a IEEE 1394 Firewire PCI Controller Card and Firewire cable. I physically installed it and insert the drivers disk to install it on my system. However in the middle of the software install wizard, an error message pops up and says "The file enum1394.sys on Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM is needed....Type the path of where the file is located and click OK." In the field it has pre-inserted 'c:\i386'. Of course the file is not there so if I click OK it just gives me the dreaded "yeah, that's not gonna work" tone. I went into that location manually to search for the file and it's not there. I am assum

Hi Dan, Is it a random BSOD or fixed BSOD? Dxgmms.sys is a DirectX file. Try the steps mentioned below if it's a random BSOD. Method 1 : I suggest you to try to refer to the suggestion provided in the below Microsoft Help Article about Blue screen issues and check if it helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/troubleshoot-blue-screen-errors If the issues still persist, refer to the below method. Method 2 : I would suggest you to update the latest driver for display adapter and you may try to update all the drivers in the Device Manager. 1. Press Windows Key + R Key . 2. Then type “ devmgmt.msc ” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key . 3. Expand Display Adapter . 4. Right click on the driver and click on Update driver software . Please revert if you get the blue screen. Thank you.

ialmnt5.sys
some games I play stop and go blue with an error about ialmnt5.sys. How do I fix this?
I got a similar problem with ialmnt5 on an old XP today, when trying to use the "got disk" option while reinstalling graphics drivers. Pointing at the correct inf file in the graphics card drivers folder that I downloaded was not enough. But I got rid of the problem by installing the drivers using the setup.exe included in the same drivers package (intel 82915g/gv/910GL). If you download the drivers from Download.com, make sure to click "Decline" on all buttons (**** programs get installed otherwise).
Hi, The ialmnt5.sys file is a driver file for video cards. That means that you need to find the correct file for your video card. Uninstall and reinstall the Graphics adapter drivers: 1. Go to Start and right-click on Computers and select Manage. This will bring the Computer Management window, now on the left sidebar select Device Manager. 2. Then go to Display Adapters and right click on it's name and click on uninstall. To reinstall the drivers right click on your card’s name and finally click Update Driver Software 3. You have two options here, click the option that reads "search automatically for updated driver software". If the above steps does not help I would recommend you to update the display adapter's drives from the manufacturer's website. For more information refer to the links below: Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly Automatically get recommended drive

AtihdWT6.sys Error
Last night I did the Windows 10 Upgrade to Build 10130 and during installation I got a blue screen error AtihdWT6.sys and from that point on my laptop computer was bricked. No amount of repair or recovery would get me back on. This is a very dangerous build. Now what do I do?
I suspect you may have mis typed the driver name. AtihdWT6.sys yields no results in Google besides yours atihdwb6 . sys however does and is part of the ATI video driver suite. If you can boot into safe mode you could go into device manager and remove it then reboot and let windows re-install it
When I google search I do find hits for AtihdWT6.sys including another user who reported an issue on May 30 same as the thread starter. This has been the worst build yet for me. After logging in to the 10130 build the system bluescreened in the ATIHDWT6.SYS display driver. After that Windows was stuck in a bluescreen reboot loop. I uninstalled the driver, removing the files, from the Device Manager in SAFE mode but that didn't work. I had to go back in to SAFE mode and delete the driver ATHDWT6.SYS just to boot the new build. I am stuck with the Microsoft Basic Display Driver. I have exactly the same issue - system reset does nothing (other than waste a lot of time). Ugh, thought we would be past total unusable system bugs by now. EDIT: Actually my system is bricked. Deleting driver just replaces it after boot up and display driver is auto detected / changed from the standard. Can't revert to previous build either - looks like I'm downloading the old ISO and wiping my system (and stayi
In the BIO, disable the HDMI under the chipset configuration. Then reboot or reinstall Windows 10.
I was totally unable to get back on with Windows 10 after the fatal ATIHDWT6.SYS error , every recovery attempt failed. The next day I reinstalled Windows 7 and will stick with that until the dust settles and Microsoft has a solid reliable version available. It was fun running the beta for 6 months, but the bricking of my computer was just too much. Maybe in Oct. or Nov. I go with Win 10. In the mean time I'll stick with 7. One feature on the Windows 10 that I did not like, was the inability to refuse to use updates. I think that will prove to be a mistake. Only time will tell.
Wise decision. I'm advising anyone I know to hold off for at least 3 months after initial release to get an idea for the lay of the land for issues with their hardware and software on Windows 10, especially if they only have one computer, need their computer to be reliable, or use their computer for important work.
No, the fatal error received while upgrading to Windows TP Build 10130 was AtihdWT6.sys. The computer is unable to go into safe mode. Even the repair or recovery to its original state has failed. The computer has effectively been bricked.
Google has 9 total hits. 2 were the OP, 2 were nonsense, and 5 were not in English. I have seen malware with many more hits
Even malware has more hits than that driver. There is one other mention of it that relates to an external HDMI port. It is here https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/b3a1b79d-7ff2-4433-89d6-cc90bf3cb151/boot-time-system-thread-exception-not-handled-atihdwt6?forum=WinPreview2014General Other than that I would download the ESD which you can convert to ISO and if nec do a clean install http://bg.v4.sh.dl.ws.microsoft.com/dl/content/d/updt/2015/05/10130.0.150522-2224.fbl_impressive_clientpro_ret_x64fre_en-us_5dd807515e4acfaf2302b96605522678cdcf3b4c.esd?P1=1433173093&P2=101&P3=1&P4=yFUNZUi3DQQTdudiaDRYhoBC1Z4%3d
OK. As I agree that this issue doesn't get many hits, it doesn't mean that it's not relevant. I got what I'm coining the "AtihdWT6.sys loop" a few days ago by swapping video cards. The fix is simple. Boot into safe mode Search your C: for AtihdWT6.sys Delete it Reboot If for some reason you can't delete it, try Unlocker 1.9.2 to unlock it first. R.
I have been have a surprisingly stable experience with windows 10 on the fast ring. However I am having the same issue mentioned here When I first tried to install 10130 I received that bsod message with the atihdwt6.sys and there were virtually no references at the time in any online search. and wondered if Microsoft misnamed the driver on the BSOD. but I do have an audio driver with that name. I have not tried to remove it in safe mode and I will perhaps try that tomorrow. You can get to safe mode, I just open cmd in admin then execute Safe Mode: bcdedit /set {default} safeboot minimal. Safe Mode with Networking: bcdedit /set {default} safeboot network. Safe Mode with Command Prompt: bcdedit /set {default} safebootalternateshell yes any of the above should return a "the operation completed successfully" message. If you manage to fix this error or a new sys file is released an update would be appreciated.

It may help to look at the minidump files from the blue screen crashes. Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site? Here's a link on using OneDrive: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time.

It sounds like you could have a virus or other malware. Get your antivirus program up to date and boot into Safe Mode . Note that some viruses can hide themselves from your antivirus program in normal mode, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode . To get into Safe Mode when you first power up, hit F8 about once a second until you get the menu and select Safe Mode. No. The error appears immideately before the installation begins.
Do you have the option to "Skip" the file? Please give me a detailed description of when the error occurs. For example, windows setup loads files, displays the partition to install windows on, begins the process of copying files then begins to install. Does it occur when the screen below is visible?

Hi Thomas, This is issue could be because of graphics card drivers. But according to MSI: This is caused by a compatibility issue with the Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service. We are currently working on a solution. As a temporary fix, you can disable the service and startup item. Refer to: MSI USA Online Technical Support FAQ Note: After troubleshooting, make sure to put the computer to start as usual as mentioned in Step 3 in the above KB article.

Hi. Let's look into this, the driver associated with iaisp64.sys is the Imaging signal processor driver . You can find this under Device Manager > System Devices. We suggest that you uninstall the driver then restart your Surface to automatically reinstall the driver. We strongly suggest that you check and install for updates too. I tried the fix above and it only worked for a day then the same video_tdr_failure igdkmd64.sys appeared and restarted my pc. I have an Intel HD 4400 Graphics on my pc. Anyone have any other suggestions? I have already tried to install the newest versions of the video card from Intel which did not work.

This is helpful, as the pattern Dan describes is the same as mine. What's troubling, however, is that the frequency of the error has increased AND it is now happening pretty regularly even when starting up with no HDMI-auxiliary monitor attached.
I have the same configuration as that of Keith L. My bluescreens always occur after I wake up my PC from Sleep Mode. But the bluescreen only occurs if I've had a USB mouse+KB and HDMI Monitor attached before going into sleep mode. I can even disconnect everthing, wait 3min or so for the system to quiesce, and then put into sleep mode. Even then, when I wake up the PC from sleep, I get multiple "video monitor / resolution adjustments" (for lack of a better term), then bluescreen. Windows StopCode = Video TDR Failure igdkmd64.sys All drivers are up-to-date. -Dan

ACEDRV08.SYS
Every so often my Windows 7, HP Pavillion ELite PC blue screens and goes into lengthy recovery mode. Before the blue screen disappeared I noticed a page fault message and the program ACEDRV08.SYS mentioned. This may or may not be a Windows 7 piece of software so excuse me for asking here it it isn't. Does anyone know exactly what this does? And has this problem been seen before? If so, any fixes? The earlier advise seems sensible and I would have also thought that a device was the cause of my BSOD too. Yet, it happens at some of the strangest times. I have them at times when I am doing photo edit work, also when making CD/DVD's (which seemed like it could be a hardware issue) and even at times when I'm surfing the web. Today, I was viewing movie trailers on Apple's web site using QT player. The one constant is the ACEDRV08.sys error on the BSOD. I don't see any errors in the event logs with anything like that referenced. Here is one reference in the log on a crash from yesterday... The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xfffff8a00e4dd000, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff880047debd2, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 042510-38750-01. So, I don't see any reference to the ACEDRV08.sys or any hardware device failure. I'm not really sure what to make of it. Once the PC had rebooted, there was a message abou

I had this problem since I had used a Magix product which I later removed. My win7 system crashed about once a week. I removed acedrv08.sys about two months ago and since then, walla: NO crashes, and NO problems either
I had constant crashes and found out that it was related to a program from Magix that I had installed and removed. I emailed them and they said I could remove acedrv08.sys if I am not using the program. I did that 3 weeks ago and have not had any crashes. I have win7 and it works now great. A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from Event Viewer. Acedrv08,sys
Does anyone have a solution to BSOD which pops up and gives an ACEDRV08.sys error?
What kernel module was loaded into the region containing FFFFFA60077CABD2?
I have the same problem and have traced it down to the installation of a program from Magix, Music Studio Deluxe 12 using the Event Viewer. Doing a search [site:www.protectdisc.com acedrv08.sys] with Bing for this driver and the site that the digitally signed driver came from provided me with only one link: http://www.protectdisc.com/help/support.html This is the information from Event Viewer: I have not uninstalled the Music Studio Deluxe 12 so maybe this is the link I should choose. We are All ONE!
Lots of people apparently: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=ACEDRV08.sys&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=undefined&fp=-dx2DTn7Pl4 MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
I'm not sure that this is a Magix. Issue. I fully uninstalled acedrv08.sys using the uninstaller from protectdisc. I haven't had a blue screen since. I can still use Samplitude Producer 10. I thought it might be a Sonar X1 issue but that runs fine without the driver. I think it may have been due to a game loader from Wild Tangent. I uninstalled the loader and that's when I believe my issues started. At any rate the uninstaller from Protect disc seemed to do the trick.
So far from my personal troubleshooting of it, its a bug in the driver.....it is not a virus, something they like to spam in forums, I say this because ive had this error straight out of box, the second time i turned on my gateway nv52 laptop with windows 7 I bought last week. .........BSOD Acedrv08.sys Page fault in non paged area , so it wasnt a virus issue. Ill keep this forum updated because so far tech support from gateway has been useless. Brilliant laptop but a pain in the ____ for an out of box issue. Im currently searching for patches in various places and am working to solve the issue. Apparently the driver is associated with authentication certificates for programs, however page faults are page file issues, aka HDD space set aside to function as ram. A wild guess so far is that the system goes nuts when that driver is moved from RAM to non paged area......this is a total guess so dont hold me to any criticism just yet. Ill keep whoever has the same problem updated on
I had this problem since I had used a Magix product which I later removed. My win7 system crashed about once a week. I removed acedrv08.sys about two months ago and since then, walla: NO crashes, and NO problems either
I don't have the answer, but I would like to get this blue scrn of death from acedrv08 resolved. It has been on going issue since I've own my HPa6642p Home Premium 64 ED. The blue screen of death happens when I leave my machine on for over 24 hours. I would be nice if MS expert could help us out in resolving this ongoing problem. The information I found on my PC is: Kernel Driver Running System Start \??\C:\Windows\system32\drivers\acedrv08.sys Can I just remove it? Did you get your fixed? Does it really run at setup? is Virus of some sort?
If acedrv08.sys is "Filter Driver ProtectDisc", any fix for any problems attributable to the driver would need to come from the company that created the driver, apparently " Protect Software GmbH".
This is the latest problem info, as when it "blued out" a few moments ago. I run an Asus X83VMX-2. os=vista-64 Please, keep me in the loop, folks. This has been ____ me off for a few weeks now. Come to think of it, it wasn't an "out of the box" issue in my case. This laptop has worked flawlessly, up untill about 3-4 wks ago, when I started having this problem, and it seems to be randomly infrequent. idgkmd64.sys error !
hello ! I've been struggled with this problem. I have update the intel drivers and also the nvidia driver to the latest update. while I played game such as PES 2014, suddenly appears blue screen and it says idgkmd64.sys error. It is very annoying ! Anybody have the solution for this problem ? Thanks before.
I have downloaded the intel drivers from the web, but it is not compatible. Then, I realize I have to get the driver from ASUS web for my laptop. Sure, the intel drivers that I download from ASUS web says it is the latest drivers for my windows 8.1. So do with the Nvidia drivers. after I have installed those drivers, I tried to play again. Just for a minutes, the blue screen appears again. And for sure I have update the windows as well. So what is the problem ?
Hi, Since the issue still persists, please do get back to us with the Minidump files. We have sent a private message to you with the instructions on how to send the Mini Dump files to us. Please check the message and do the needful.
I have already attached the files in reply for the private message.
Hi Jimmy, How exactly have you updated the Intel drivers? Have you downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the manufacturer’s website? The Blue Screen error usually occurs when a serious problem causes the computer to shut down or restart unexpectedly. There are multiple reasons why this type of errors occurs on the computer. They usually happen when there are some driver issues in the computer. However, it might also be due to some other software/hardware reasons. In this case, it seems that the faulty driver file is the “ idgkmd64.sys ”. This is a file associated with an Intel Graphics device. So, the first thing that we need to make sure is whether the graphics drivers in the computer are up to date or not. If it is not updated, then you may update the graphics card drivers by following these steps. If you have not tried updating the drivers for Intel graphics card from their website then go to the Computer or Graphics Card manufacturer’s website and search for the latest W

Hi guys, I'm facing a problem trying to Zip my DMP file. I have followed the steps, and it is now on my desktop. However everytime I try to Zip it, an error would pop out saying "File not found or no read permission" Thanks
We do need the actual log file (called a DMP file) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. We prefer at least 2 DMP files to spot trends and confirm the cause. Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. Mikha You can upload them without zipping it will just take a bit longer. If it still says access denied or file not found follow the wiki instructions.

Corrupt file PxHELP20.sys
My VAIO does'nt boots after installing an original SONY software Image Data Converter. It says "corrupt file in \winsows\syswow64\drivers\pxhelp20.sys" What can I do?
Hi Microsoft Support, I have got almost the same problem with my Dell Laptop XPS W7 64 bit and Sony Picture Utility / Image Data Converter. I tried System Restore twice but did not work. I booted with System Recover Disc to no avail. The first I ran start up repair and viewed detailed diagnostics I got the same message as corrupt pxhelp20.sys driver. I logged in Safe Mode and System Restore came up automatically, saying the problem was resolved, but it was not. I can login through Safemode but System Restore cannot resolve the problem. Logging in Safe mode and running System Restore neither helps nor it brings the same corrupt driver pxhelp20.sys again. It just said something to effect that changes were made to system configuration that cannot be fixed. Is there to avoid a W7 reinstall? Pls HELP! PS. Somebody ought to tell Sony to get their rubbish utility programs out of the market!

I used config.sys to find a problem with my somputer and having found the problem cannot get the configuration system to save the changes. It lists the programs running and stopped but when I select the running ones I want stopped it will not save that, so next time I restart they are still running. What to do, I have tried numerous times! Thanks G

Atikmdag sys???
Just got a custom built computer from cyber power pc and within two hours got a Blue screen of death with Atikmdag sys. What the hell does that mean and how can I fix it?
None of those worked i did them and It says they are not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program
Are you sure you typed the commands correctly, you can copy and paste. Be sure you are using the Admin command prompt. The commands are correct and will work if entered correctly.
Atikmdag.sys is related to your AMD/Radeon graphics adapter. Identify the model number of the adapter, then go to the AMD support site and get a fresh copy. Uninstall the old driver, then install the new one. BTW, hardware problems, especially with a new computer, should be addressed with the hardware or computer manufacturer.

No you don't. That file belongs to malware. If you are getting a message that the file is missing when you start Windows, either you uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In any case, a reference was left to the file in Startup. You can remove the reference by managing your Startup. Because you had one piece of malware, the chances are also high that you had others. It would be a good idea to scan. I recommend downloading and installing MalwareBytes' Antimalware (MBAM) from http://www.malwarebytes.org . The program is free. (There is a paid version but you don't need to buy it to remove malware.) Manage Startup: (for XP) Start>Run>msconfig [enter] This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in effe

Win 7 Sys image
My win7 laptop crashed when I did a system restore.. I can get it to boot to the prompt (C:\) but windows will not load. It appears that my data files are still intact. How do I repair Windows 7? I have a winsystemimage. If I use the system image to restore the laptop, will I loose any data, files, photos, etc? The sys image is dated 04/27....so would I loose anything changed or new since that date?
Can you tell me the locations/directories where My Documents, y Scans, My Pictures are located?
There is only one file named Windowsbackup but when I looked for a directory I found one named after my laptop with 8 subdirectories named backp set...... What you created was an ordinary file backup. Since you do not have a system image, you cannot restore it. If you are unable to repair Windows then you must reload it, then restore your personal files from your backup. If you wish to back up the files you created since 27 April then you can do so by booting the machine to a Command Prompt and copying your files using console commands such as xcopy.exe or robocopy.exe. By default your personal files are stored in folders such as C:\Users\{Username}\Documents, Pictures, Music etc. I recommend you ask a computer-savvy friend to assist you. I also recommend that you reduce the interval between backups. It appears it is too long.
The sys image is dated 04/27....so would I loose anything changed or new since that date? It depends what exactly you mean with "sys image". How did you create it?
The WindowsImageBacku[ was created throught the widows backup in Windows7 (automatic backup). It is located on a separate hard drive. Since it sounds like the system image will overwrite anything since 04/27, should I copy all my files from the c:\ drive onto the seprate (f:\) drive that I need or want? The problem is I don't know where they all are. When I go into my user directory, and look at My Documents, My Pictures, My Scans, what is the actual location of those files? What about my Outlook, contacts, email, etc?
I understand what you are asking and I don't know the answer. I am assuming that the sysem image dated 04/27/2014 was automatically created (via auto backup???) because I did not manually create it. There is only one file named Windowsbackup but when I looked for a directory I found one named after my laptop with 8 subdirectories named backp set......
The WindowsImageBacku[ was created throught the widows backup in Windows7 (automatic backup). It is located on a separate hard drive. It is still not clear what this "image" might be. In the Control Panel / Backup and Restore there is an item on the left to create an image of your System drive. It generates one big .VHD file. On the right there is the usual user file backup. It creates a number of .zip files. Which one do you have?
Error Netwbw02.sys
I am using an HP laptop. Experiencing error Netwbw02.sys for the first time on startup. Please help.
Hi Aman, Thank you for being part of Windows 10. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue? To help troubleshoot error messages and other issues, you can start Windows 10 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This kind of startup is known as a "clean boot." A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. How to perform a clean boot in Windows Note: Check the title “How to reset the computer to start as usual after clean boot troubleshooting” for reverting to normal mode. point64.sys deletion
After running a proper removal of my Windows.old directory and files from my Windows 10 installation, the file point64.sys will not delete. This happened on 2 separate PC's. Any ideas?
You didn't read what I said. The link you sent applies to Windows 8.1. I am using Windows 10.
After reading all the posts and googling, I found out that the only way to get rid of the point64.sys file is to move it on top of the c:\windows\system32\drivers\point64.sys (they are in effect the same file). I used the "advanced" button under file properties / security tab and took ownership of the file; then removed all permissions and granted "full control" to "Everyone". Had to use the "remove inheritance" button, etc. Do the same for all folders, up to the "windows.old" folder. This will enable you to cut/paste the file to "c:\windows\system32\drivers\point64.sys" (replacing it). Side note: you will not be able to remove it because "it is in use by another program" (but you can rename it). Whatever. After moving the file you will be able to remove the windows.old folder (if you changed the folder permissions the same way).
Thanks for all the answers. It actually finally disappeared on it's own.
This took five minutes and was fully successful on the Bootcamp Windows 10 pro partition of my Mac. Many thanks for the easy solution (for someone familiar with permissions protocol etc). Shame that without scripting something there's no easier way to do this for those "everyday users" who whilst have an appreciation of Windows file structure don't get much further than browsing files and end up relying on sometimes questionable third party solutions.
I had two intances of these files in my Windows.old. I can move and/or rename the two point64.sys files anywhere on drive C: , i just cant delete them. Even with a name and location change the file is always file in use - open in another program after boot. I cant move them off drive C: I have named them fred1 and fred2 and moved them out of Windows.old to the desktop and can now delete the Windows.old folder. I've tried various delete methods on the files including disk cleanup, take ownership, delete on reboot, filekiller, DOS shortname delete, safeboot. What i plan to do now when i get around to it is load up a USB linux stick and use that to delete the files. I've looked at all the attributes and the only thing i can find odd about these files is the description is point32k.sys not Point64.sys
Hi Barry, Thank you for replying. We regret for the inconvenience. There are possibilities that some residue files would have left after the upgrade. I suggest you to perform Disk CleanUp and check. You may refer to the following wiki article by "Andre Da Costa" and see if that helps: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_10-win_upgrade/how-to-free-up-disk-space-in-windows/2458cc31-bd19-482f-ace5-7e3bd9da8098 Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further help and we'll be happy to assist.
I was unable to give permission to "everyone" Did not see Everyone listed. When I tried to give full control to others listed (user, etc.), it simply grayed out. The files and folders remaining occupy about 67 Kb of space. Perhaps I should leave it alone. However, I was able to remove the entire windows.old folder and contents on my new laptop using disk cleanup. Bizarre.
Hi Barry, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing. I suggest you to refer the link below and check if it helps. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/How-remove-Windows-old-folder Note: Before you use Disk Cleanup, make sure that all of your files and settings are where you expect them to be. Deleting the Windows.old folder can’t be undone. Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.
While these were well thought out and excellent suggestions, they did not solve my particular problem. Since the Windows.old directory on my PC is now 1 file, 11 folders and 0 bytes that can't be removed, I guess I'll just live with it. Thanks anyway.
Move the file to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and overwrite the existing file. It's exactly the same file. You can't even delete it with full ownership, safe mode, command prompt etc. But you can rename it, move it to somewhere on the same volume. Crazy hey. Did you install Microsoft IntelliPoint at any point on any of those two PC's? I think this might be the culprit.

rikum_9EC60124.sys removed by Norton.
Norton has removed this file from the os. The computer is new. I would like to know if rikum_9EC60124.sys should be in my operating syster or not..
A bit more info I've found regarding rik v m_9EC60124.sys. "It appears to be a dynamic driver that disappears when it's finished, no evidence of the driver found in other system reports". So there is an excellent chance that its disappearance and the fact you thought Norton had removed it was nothing more than mere coincidence.

Hi Jerry, rik v m_9EC60124.sys is possibly / more than likely an Intel WiFi Driver. Your spelling, with a ' u ' then no, it shouldn't. But personally, I'd say the same about Norton, it shouldn't be on your machine. It's resource heavy, and if you are 64bit, will insist on killing your machine. I'd seriously, as a free option replace with resource light and bsod friendly Microsoft Security Essentials. Want paid?? My shout is for ESET. Let us know if you feel like removing Norton. There's a clean up tool that will remove the flotsam it leaves behind that will then interfere with your new AV making you think "I wish I still had Norton". Now, far be it for me to say this may be a deliberate marketing strategy.........

Hello, I am trying to get some pdf/doc reader for my nokia 5230, but every program I downloaded is in .sys format. When I put it on memory card via Bluetooth, I can't find them on the phone. Do I need some sort of special installer for those files? or where can I find those sis files on mobile ? They are not visible in Application manager... Thanks alot for your help.
Hi mikescze Would normally expect .sis file sent by Bluetooth to be in "Messaging" > Inbox.
well they are not int there. Any .jar application I just send into C:/data/installs and they are in app. manager. But .sys files are not visible there. Am I putting .sys files into wrong folder?(I am not so experienced with mobile phones) EIDT: of course it's .sis, not sys

Currupt pxhelp20.sys
Laptop would not boot after a Windows update. Diagnostics indicated I have a corrupt pxhelp20.sys file located in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\Drivers\ sub-directory. I renamed the file to pxhelp20.xxx and now the laptop will boot as normal. I need a clean pxhelp20.sys, how can I obtain one from MS? I do not want to to a system restore or in any way risk losing the content, data, or programs on the laptop. All I need is a valid pxhelp20.sys file. Many online articles advise only to trust MS as the source for this file.
The pxhelp20.sys is a third party driver, not a part of Windows, and may have been installed with third party CD/DVD burning software. What CD/DVD burning software is installed ?

Hello everyone, I have just plug a SATA dtisk to a winxp machine and i got the message that the sas2xp86.sys is missing. Where i can find it? thanks in advance Christos
are you installing xp on this drive?? if so you will have to slipstream the sata drivers on to the xp installation cd, or put them on a floppy disk and install with F6 during install of xp with raid . see the following: ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/CDR-USAS2-LSI_1.01_for_AOC-USAS2_LSI_AOC/AOC-S2308L-L8i_L8e/Driver/2308/Windows/v2.00.58/XP_x86/sas2xp86.txt http://www.filewatcher.com/m/sas2xp86.sys.55296-0.html

go to the sata drive's manufacturer website and look for sata controllers for xp, the second link I gave you has downloads for this particular file, but I have not used it, it would be best to get them from the manufacturer. some interesting tips on installing a secondary sata drive at this link is the first drive IDE or SATA??

Hi, It appears the zip is empty. Can you please re-zip and re-upload? Regards, Patrick
Thanks! DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1) bug check. This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high. A driver tried to access an address that is pageable (or that is completely invalid) while the IRQL was too high. This bug check is usually caused by drivers that have used improper addresses. The path from the Norton Eraser is as follows: C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\rikvm_9EC60124.sys Also you cannot manually or otherwise locate the file for manual extermination Would be very appreciative for any help or resolution to this extremely annoying and perhaps dangerous problem file. bluescreen message: driver_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL_NETWLV64.SYS
I have upgraded from windows 8.1 Pro to Windows 10. My crashes with blue screen message: driver_IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL_NETWLV64.SYS What does this problem means and how to solve it?
We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here If you have any questions about the procedure please ask
Dear Team, BSOD is still not solved. I followed the instructions on how to find, delete upload and install the new driver well. I 've also made a printscreen of my network adapters and zipped it together with the new DMP files. The files dated 09-22-2015 are only 2 instaed of 3?? Dear Team ZigZag, Thanks for the answers/solutions to my problems (BSOD). I still have to start WIFI under adapter settings. It will not start automatically. Regards, Allan
Ok, so you suggest remove and install the wifi driver, but where can I find the driver for this wifi, my current driver seems to be: Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Description: Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Driver version: 13.3.0.137 I found this web page only with Win7 drivers. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50566/Intel-Wireless-WiFi-Link-4965AGN It only says here it would be a newer driver: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2792483/intel-wireless-wifi-link-4965agn.html There is also a suggestion this is happening after the screen saver is activated. It seems it's what I am experiencing. Also Win10 Shutdown option is NOT a real shutdown, I have to restart the computer to get my WiFi card connected again. I would to have some instructions on how to do this: "disabling "802.11n mode" on the adapter fixes this."

I thought they normally opened automatically, however it is asking me which program I want to open it in. Can any one please give me some help with this.
You need an inf file. Is there an inf file in this folder? If youre trying to add drivers from an old hdd, find the install files for whatever it is

BSCOD dxgmms1.sys error
Im getting a blue screen error while running windows 7 HE 32-bit. error message 1st line: IRQL_NoLess_orequal. Stoney Good job sticking with this. Fingers crossed here as well. Basically you have made your system healthier so even if you do get the occasional one they can be found and fixed more easily
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. The link for the DMP and MSINFO: https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=72ED389618AD4723!107&authkey=!AFRDlgqLf-1gEIk . Thank you.
Stoney Windows update? For windows files, or the drivers? Boot into safe mode with networking and it shouldnt.
Soney Sorry for not explaining further Take the first driver and snip the link. Go to it. See arrow in snip for download link Just repeat for the rest of the links. If you would prefer to update to SP-1 first that might save you some effort because many of these drivers are updated in SP-1
We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking. If you are overclocking stop. (chances are if you dont know if you are, you are not) To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure: * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine. * Zip up the copy. * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button. *Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or"Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply. To ensure minidumps are enabled: * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter. * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button. * Ensure that Auto
Stony These were related to memory corruption (probably a driver) First I would Update these drivers from as far back as 2005 I would then run the update assistant and update to SP-1 iirsp.sys Tue Dec 13 16:48:01 2005 (439F4191) Intel Raid StorPort Driver http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/uninstall-sp1 http://windows.microsoft.com/troubleshootwindows7sp1
Hi, i'm having trouble downoading any of the updates or even finding them using those links. Bit confused which one to download on each of the websites.

Main issue i'm having now is im using windows update and before it can even get close too finishing update blue screen pops up and ruins it all. I keep trying hoping ill get lucky and it will update in time.
dxgmms1.sys BSOD
I have been having a BSOD problem with a new PC that i built and it seems to be caused by the "dxgmms1.sys" driver. I read some post and basically all I got from every one of them is that it is being caused by the video driver. I've re-installed the driver as well as windows itself and have yet to get this problem to stop.
We do need the actual DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible. WE NEED AT LEAST TWO DMP FILES TO SPOT TRENDS AND CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS. If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you dont know what it is you probably are not overclocking. Team Zigzag3143.com
Here is a zip of the last four BSOD i had to SkyDrive . The .nfo should also be in my skydrive . ( I will also be putting every new BSOD in my skydrive.) New BSOD: 10/11
Mike These were all basically video related. "It's not a true crash, in the sense that the Blue Screen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception". Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OS's like XP to crash. As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds. If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD. If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating. Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU. Run it like that for a few hours or days - long e
Bluescreen - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (dxgmms2.sys)
Hello, I am getting this DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQAUL (dxgmms2.sys) when i try to start my computer and i have tried removing and installing my drivers for my graficscard a couple a times with different versions of the drivers. I have 2 gtx 480 in SLI if that matters and i have attached the files you want. https://1drv.ms/f/s!AmwAMBM_NIe_gyd87Lx8yGjCNPSu Thanks in advance! :D
Is there nobody else who has encounterd this problem who know how to fix it?
I cannot distinguish the new dumps from the originals. They are all dated 12 August. Please download and run Driver View and upload a copy of the report it produces to your OneDrive. To get a report on all drivers select Edit, Select All followed by File, Save Selected Items. Text file format please. http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html Please run Driver Verifier and upload the resulting dump file to your OneDrive: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff545448%28v=vs.85%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 Immediately before running Driver Verifier I recommend you create a System restore point.
Update your Nvidia graphics driver to 368.81: http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/368.81/368.81-desktop-win10-64bit-international-whql.exe&lang=us&type=GeForce
I have already tried those and others but still get the same bluescreen message, and i just tried the ones you linked again and it is the same. and I have added the new minidumps to the onedrive link, if that helps. Please help me.
I have solved the problem by going to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and pressing update now and letting that program update my windows 10. After that it seem to have fixed the issue!
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA with iacamera64.sys
I get the blue screen and error message of "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" while video conferencing using the surface laptop's built in webcam. After about an hour of web conferencing the blue screen pops up and I am forced to restart the machine. The error is with the iacamera64.sys, which I believe is for the webcam. I am running windows 10 pro. I have updated the operating system, performed disk clean-up, run the memory diagnostic and the surface diagnostic tool but none have worked. Any other suggestions?
Hi Mason, I ran the camera app for about 3 hours and the error did not occur. When i am using the Zoom program the error usually occurs after about a half hour to an hour. I ran the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and it did not resolve the issue. Any suggestions? Thanks, M
Thats the first thing i did updated all drivers and even downloaded a complete package: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55489 Either the driver needs an update or Zoom need to do one to get these to stop BSOD. This really does not look good as we was replacing all staff with surfaces and this is happening and i bet your having the same frustration. Thanks for you reply with the update would really appreciate it if you keep me up to date on what Zoom case. Thanks Again
Hello mas409, We definitely understand the concern with your device booting into the blue screen with the fault error message. We would like to check a few things with you to see if this is more something related with the software or management of the camera, or with the actual camera's hardware itself. 1. What program is being used for the video conference? 2. To clarify, this error does not occur when not the camera, correct? We look forward to receiving your response to help continue moving this towards a resolution! Sincerely~ Mason L. Microsoft Surface Technical Support www.Support.Microsoft.com/Surface
Please could someone find a fix for this as I am having this issue company wide on our brand new surface laptops.
This is the last response I recieved from Zoom after they reviewed my meeting logs from when a crash happened: “The conclusion is that the crash occurred due to a video rendering problem. Please help ensure to install any pending windows updates and also update camera device drivers and also update the graphic drivers to check if this helps.”
I have contacted Zoom and upload all details they required. As far as I can see this problem could be from Zoom. The support team told me they would look into it and have an update soon. Do hope they can fix it!!! It is very frustrating...
Hi Mason, 1) I am using a program called Zoom to attend online classes. I asked the school’s IT technician and he stated he has not heard this problem from other students. 2) I have only experienced this error while using the camera. Thank you!
my surface laptop got exactly the same issue and the bcod recorded as follow: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 11/12/2017 14:07:08 Event ID: 41
Hello mas409, Has this issue ever occurred if only the Camera app, or Skype is running? If this is something that is only occurring on your device while in a video conference with that particular error, but does not occur with a pre-installed Windows application then we may have some other issue occurring between the specific video application and your device as opposed to a hardware related issue. Please test a pre-installed camera application, or a Microsoft program like Skype, to see if the issue is consistent with other camera applications. If you would like to ensure that Windows Updates and applications are installed and allocated correctly, you could run the Surface Diagnostic Toolkit and see if this helps your situation. This toolkit should only take about 10-20 minutes to run completely, and goes through a couple of restarts to complete. We look forward to hearing the results so we may better determine the issue at hand! Thank you~ Mason L. Microsoft Surface Technical Support
Hello mas409, This definitely concludes that this is not a hardware related issue, but rather a software related issue. We may be limited on this as we don't have direct access to the software being utilized for your classroom, but from what we can see in the specifications your device should be able to handle using Zoom screen sharing. If at any point this Zoom software is causing your system to crash, but the camera itself is not causing the system to crash, it may be in your best interest to notify the Zoom support team about this occurrence. You may find the instructions for creating a service ticket for Zoom at their Zoom Help Center . If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there's a section titled Get Help, and an option to contact support there. If Zoom support is able to tell you if something in Windows is not allocated properly for the software and would require a change or a fix, please let us know so that we can provide the necessary steps to help you resolve this iss
System_Service_Exception (dbk64.sys)
Hi, I was you cheat engine for a certain game and pasted a script into the lua for the game. When I opened the game it said the script loaded but then it always freezes says your Computer has an error we will restart and it also says for more information search Sytem_Service_Exception (dbk64.sys). It is an asus laptop that i go for christmas I believe the 13 in. with 4 GB. Please help! i really want this script to work!
Montgomery We cant help you with circumventing the game. We have no idea what the "cheat" does to the system and we cannot help with anything but Microsoft products.
All he want to know is why, when the system file dbk64.sys is used, Windows freeze? It's a Microsoft Windows related issue, right?
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Netwbw02.sys)
Hi, For the past few days i have been getting the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (Netwbw02.sys) BSOD quite frequently. Please advise why and how I can solve the issue. I have a Dell Inspiron 5000 series running the below specs:
Hi Guys, The blue screen is back. The frequency has surely reduced but its still happening every once in a while. The latest link for the minidump files is https://1drv.ms/f/s!Ao0gzd8aFI4qgdBrhs2jSEwyYtlmjA Thanks again for your help.
The error still point to the Netwbw02.sys. Can you provide the following file which has more information on the crash: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP The memory.dmp file will be quite large, you could zip and compress the memory.dmp file with a third party application such as 7-Zip.
You're welcome, and good luck!
Thanks a ton auggy. I'll uninstall the McAfee and IDM right away.
It may help to look at the minidump files from the blue screen crashes. Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site? Here's a couple of links on using OneDrive (SkyDrive): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/skydrive/add-photos-files-faq http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/share-file-folder If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time
Hi, The link for the file is https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ao0gzd8aFI4qgp9G2vJ-TzhDonMJtw Thanks
The minidump files point to the Netwbw02.sys, which is the Intel wireless driver: BugCheck D1, {8, 2, 0, fffff801e0c3b3ac} *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for Netwbw02.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for Netwbw02.sys Probably caused by : Netwbw02.sys You could also uninstall and reinstall the Intel wireless driver using the latest version. Also, uninstall, at least temporarily, Internet Download Manager which has been known to cause blue screen errors related to networking in certain setups.
Hi Kalpana, Thanks for your reply. Sorry but I was not able to understand anything on the link you provided. Its a little too high tech for me. Is there any other way you could help me fix the error? P.S. No changes have been made to the system. Also i don't know if this is related but every time i start my laptop it makes the USB removed sound even though nothing is connected to it.
Hi Yezdi, Did you make any changes prior to this issue? Try to uninstall and re-install Wi-Fi drivers. Press Windows Logo Key+X . Click on Device Manager . Then find the driver that you are trying to uninstall and right-click on it to Uninstall . Follow onscreen instructions to uninstall it. To re-install, either you can restart the system or install the driver from the manufacturer’s website. I suggest you to refer to resolution section in the below link on the BSOD errors and check if it helps: Bug Check 0xD1: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff560244(v=vs.85).aspx Hope this helps in resolving the issue with BSOD. If the issue persists, do get back to us. We will be happy to assist you. Thank you.
