Hi Sahil, Here is some common issue which we still don't know how to fix: Issue 1) Proxy issue: Using the same auto proxy URL (http://proxy.intranet.company.com). All other systems working fine, only 1 system look like not able to detect. But if we manually configure proxy server then it worked. Issue 2) Click on IE favorites do nothing, only display Blank page. If we click any links on Feeds or History it is still working fine. We did reinstalled IE version 8, 10, 11 but all facing same issue. Before for the issue if click New Tab showing blank we can fixed by regsvr32.exe ieproxy.dll but this time won't works.

Each Method/step below progresses to the next if the first does not fix any corrupted files that are found, etc. Have you read this Microsoft information about repairing corrupt system files and errors? Have tried all the above advice but without success. Had to resort to destructive re-install windows. Then came the job to install all the criticall updates ( all 99 of them). Initially, the plan was to install in batches - however, whilst appearing to start normally,, instead of the "sign on" screen,, I had a black screen on my monitor. I have a dedicated PC monitor but the TV is also connected via the DVI output on the video card. I had not set up Windows for the second screen on the TV but Windows updates had somehow decided to send the video output to the TV (which wasn't on) after the BIOS splash screen but before the password screen. Unplugging the DVI video lead cured that problem.  I can set up the TV screen after all Windows updates have been installed. I can report that all 99 updates installed correctly - ( doing them in small batches) . Thank you for your time and assistance but sadly a clean install was the only thing that worked. Method three- All looked promising after following your instructions I updated via Windows updates. On restart I got through to the desktop without the wininetPlugin.dll error message. However, the "Aero" clock on the desktop could not be seen. Windows Live Mail was started but looked odd and no messages could be seen. Fired up the browser and none of the "drop down" memus could be seen. It looks like the ink and the background are the same colours. So had to restore yet again. I have an installation disc with SP1...I seem to remember that there is a specific command to "sfc/ scannow" a named file but I cannot remember the format. If all else fails, I will have to consider a clean install. Obviously, this is a long process with all the drivers and updates having to be downloaded and then re- install my prohrams. Tony I

Before performing in-place upgrade, I would recommend you to Back up your files using windows backup. Thank you for your time and efforts to help. Method one - failed with error message " The module C:\\Windows etc wininetPlugin.dll was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code  0x80004001" Method 2 sfc/ scannow - I had already tried scannow without success. The original problem re wininet plugin.dll remained and a system restore brought life back to my computer. I have yet to try method three but will post the result as soon as I can. Thank you. Tony

This update just installed a few hours ago on my machine. IE is broken and crashes instantly. Using Chrome to access this forum. This is a Microsoft Update - Should they not fix the problem?  As users, we should not have to screw around . IE crash again after KB2829530 update!

I must maintain Windows XP SP3 with IE6 for many systems and this update failed to install after many attempts.  I cannot find any posts on this either.    There seem to be various issues with this cumulative update?

Last month after installing Cumulative Update for IE10 64x IE Last month,I posted on April 11th after IE crashed after installing Cumulative Update KB2817183 for IE10 x64 and using System Restore to get IE working again. However, as I expected, exactly the same thing has happened with this month's Cumulative Update  for IE 10 KB2829530, - limited opening but all add-ons disabled, and websites requiring flash and Java all fail to open and run properly. As I could not find the update in the 'installed updates' folder, once again I had to resort to System Restore to temporarily 'solve' the problem. I also attempted a 'repair' of IE 10, but this resulted in a persistent flash player error message. This time, however,  I took a screenshot of two error messages that appeared on one page after installation. In a box titled 'RunDLL'  it says 'There was a problem starting C:\windows\system32\migration\wininetPlugin.dll. The specified module could not be found.' The second box is titled 'persona

My PC with Windows 8 Pro stop working.  There is BSOD STOP: 0xc000021a after automatic windows update IE10 (KB2829530). Have a look to debug of MEMORY.DMP. It seems the KB2829530 is not well done!!! ------ Followup: MachineOwner ---------

Unfortunately Method 1 did not work. Exactly the same issue on installing KB2829530 after Filechecker. Once again System Restore to undo damage. I will try method 2, but can you please confirm that I should type spaces between '32 and '-u' and 'WininetPlugin.dll' in step 3. Please also confirm that I should type a space between 'regsvr32' and 'WininetPlugin.dll' in Step 4. What seems to be going on with these updates? I am also getting an apparently unremovable 'Homegroup' Icon on my laptop which I neither want nor asked for. Things should work better than this! Thanks again.
