Msdia80.dll/Msdia90.dll
I have found the file C:\Msdia80.dll and the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC\Msdia90.dll, and I was wondering why I have two files apparently similar in two different locations. I have found some information here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927665, but it didn't help much. I was wondering if Msdia80.dll (C:\Msdia80.dll) is useless and I could therefore delete it, since I've got an Msdia90.dll in the correct location, according to the information found in the link above. Any help would be welcome.
Hi SteliosA, The msdia90.dll file is associated with “x64-based version of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package”. This update was released on 12 July 2009. The file msdia80.dll can be removed from C: as it might have been duplicated. For your reference, I’m adding a link that talks about msdia.dll file. Description of the security update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package: July 28, 2009: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/973552 Hope this information is helpful. dll library
dll library ?
I know a lot of people tend to recommend Malwarebytes in addition to Windows Defender Security Center but I have never been able to understand why. Back in the old days having a separate Malware Checker made sense (at least, once Microsoft stopped supporting their OneCare option) but with the introduction of Windows Defender Security Center it really isn't necessary. And can interfere with the Security Center working as it is intended. There are a few articles everyone should read to better understand why I say this: https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2017/01/23/introducing-windows-defender-security-center/#H1XBhutz8GHiHd4C.97 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4012986/windows-defender-track-your-device-performance-health and https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi Remember: Knowledge is Power!

.dll is the extension for drivers. Technically it stands for "Dynamic Link Library" (which means that saying dll library is like saying dynamic link library library) and it is pretty much synonymous with the .exe (or executable) extension. I would suggest you uninstall Malwarebytes and try running Windows Defender Antivirus (and Antimalware, btw) again. Malwarebytes tends to come with a trial subscription that will shut Defender off by default.

HI Marcelo, Mfc70.dll is the Visual C++ .net 2002 Runtime DLL. It usually comes up when you try to use some application that uses this DLL. When exactly are you getting the error? Do you remember making any particular changes to the system after which you started getting the error? If you are simply getting the error while opening up Visual C++ , you can try to uninstall and reinstall it back . Follow the link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7 on how to uninstall a program If you are getting the error while opening some application, then again either reinstalling the visual studio (If you have it installed ) might help .Or it might be that the application itself is corrupt .Since Every tool needs a Runtime. In this case, the MFC library DLL from Visual Studio 2002 is missing. The application developers must include this DLL in their setups .Also , you can verify this by running the application on some other system . A

Unable to download sp75979.exe. After clicking on "Click Here" I choose "Download folder" A small rectangle appears on lower left, it gradually fills from the left in blue. When the blue has filled the entire rectangle, clicking on it opens a small window with 3 choices "Clear", "Show in Folder" or cancel. Only the "Cancel" is in bold. No choice to view in Folder and activate. I've tried several times, with same result, waiting about 10 minutes to complete download. If I open the "Download Folder" directly, SP75979.exe does not appear. Is there another way to get this file?
If you are running a HP laptop or PC: The error is generated by their 3D DriveGuard software - or more precisely the Accelerometer.exe component of that software, you need to go download the fix they have just released - Click HERE

MSVCR90.DLL
I get an MSVCR90.DLL error when I start Excel
HI trocco I found some information that could be useful for you. check this link that describe the issue and how to solve it http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982305 I hope you have Succeed.
Just chiming in here with another experience... It was both Outlook and Excel 2010 that didn't work for me. All the other Office apps worked fine. Here is the exact error message I received: EXCEL.EXE - System Error The program can't start because MSVCR90.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. Rebooting, running Windows Update and Repairing the Office 2010 application did nothing to fix it. I uninstalled the Security Update for Microsoft Excel 2010 and like you guys that made Excel work fine. Outlook is still broken though and there doesn't appear to be a similar security update for that which I can see yet.
Follow the steps mentioned in the links and check if it helps: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officesetupdeployprevious/thread/5504d74e-48a7-4ca5-a7e0-709afb0ec231/ http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/outlook-2010-new-install-msvcr90dll-missing/29e8ed56-e7da-4cf6-a6f7-f9015e54e022 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/outlook/thread/31cd1d95-0e7e-4344-927e-61321fcb1e52/ If nothing helps from the links, uninstall and reinstall Office.
In addition to the steps suggested by Gerard you can also repair Office and check if it helps. Refer the link below to repair Office 2010 http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-workspace-help/repair-or-remove-your-office-programs-HA010357402.aspx

I uninstalled a recent excel update. fixed the issue right away Thx
this error was driving me crazy. After installations and unistallations, i realized that this issue was starting after updates from microsoft. As soon as a specific update was install the problems would start. I started unistalling updates. The issue is not SP1 but a specific security update for excel 2010. As soon as i unistalled it, the issue was gone. If you click programs and features and then "view installed updates" you will see a security update specifically for Excel 2010. Unistall it and everything will be good again :)

Original Title: DLL missing d3dx9_39.dll How do I fix this?
Hi, This file is part of DirectX Runtime June 2010, which is a optional update that a lot of games need. This is a self extracting package. It will extract after double clicking on it so be sure to note the location where you\it extracted. Then open the folder and double click DXSETUP. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109 Which folder should I put it in? I am doing this for League of Legends.
This Solved all my problems after a re-Install of Windows 10. I had all my simulators/games installed on a separate drive so I wouldn't lose the install and progress. I ran into a boot problem and as said above re-installed windows 10. Upon creating shortcuts and testing each game I ran into a few games and wouldn't start cause of various DXd3d_# error's. Consider the problem solved....Thank's slance310 for linking.
Hi, I don't know much about specific games... some may have different requirements... I think that once the package has extracted, it will install to the System32 folder... It's like a ZIP File... you just tell it where to extract to... just so you can find it... Then install it like any other program... I put mine in the Downloads folder along with the original file...
I encountered this issue when trying to run Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. I think that it will occur for various different games. I'm using Windows 10. When did you receive the error? When trying to play a game. Which version of Microsoft Visual C++ is installed on the computer? I didn't install any version of this. I have a clean install of Windows 10. Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue? No. I have installed all updates. Running the command sfc /scannow resulted in the message Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. Installing the DirectX Runtime June 2010 as mentioned by @slance310 makes it possible to run this game. So it seems that Microsoft has not enabled Windows 10 to run DirectX 9 games...
Hi Reba, Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I regret the inconvenience caused to you. Let me help you. In order to provide you with a quick resolution, please reply to these questions: When did you receive the error? Which version of Microsoft Visual C++ is installed on the computer? Have you made any changes on the computer prior to the issue? Type ‘ cmd ’ in start search box. Right click on cmd in the Program list and then select the option Run as administrator . Note: If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue. Type the following command, and then press ENTER : sfc /scannow For more information refer to this article: How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows

How do I resolve the problem? The dciman32.dll file is the Dynamic Link Library for the Display Control Interface (DCI) Manager. The DCI manager is used to improve graphics performance when using direct video memory access. Applications that typically rely on the dciman32.dll file for performance include games, CAD drawing applications, and graphics editing software. The error message displayed may differ slightly depending on which program it is affecting, but will generally be similar to the following: * "The file dciman32.dll is missing." * "Cannot find the file dciman32.dll" * "This application has failed to start because dciman32.dll was not found"

Click Start and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. WWW32.dll
How can I install a missing WWW32.dll drive in Explorer 8 running VISTA? Thanks quequeeg
Thanks for clearing that up. With some more information, I think we can solve this: 1. What exactly are you doing when the error occurs? 2. What version of Outlook do you have? 3. What version of Windows do you have? Steve Winograd MS-MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) Steve, I'm having a similar problem. Just updated to Windows 7 and reinstalled Outlook 2000. Can receive emails OK but whenever I try to send an email or click on the "To" button, receive error message stating "An error occurred while attempting to open Windows Address Book. Unable to find WAB DLL". Also can't creat any new contacts or calendar entires. Hope someone can help!!!! Regards, Tony.
When I try to save an edit in Microsoft OUTLOOK and a few other programs, I get a message that WWW32.dll is missing.
Hi, Steve--it seems to be a wab dll file that comes up missing when I try to save in OUTLOOK.
As I understand it, the only versions of Outlook that work on Windows 7 are Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003. Earlier versions aren't compatible with Windows 7.
I can't find any information about "WWW32.dll". What is it? How do you know that it's missing and needs to be installed? What are you trying to do? Steve Winograd MS-MVP (Windows Desktop Experience)

ipworks6.dll
Windows XP - Receiving error message that ipworks6.dll is missing and needs to be replaced - how is this fixed?
Appreciate your quick reply. I want to back-up my files first and will let you know if this works. Thanks. MjH
You appear to have some residual reference to a virus or spyware program that your virus scanner disabled. Here is how you can find out what it is: - Boot into Safe Mode - Click Start - Type the word msconfig into the Search box and press Enter - Untick every tick mark under the Startup tab. - Click the Services tab, then tick the box that hides the Microsoft services. - Untick every remaining tick mark. - Physically disconnect the machine from the Internet. - Reboot in Normal Mode. - If this fixes the problem, restore the tick marks in groups of 8 until you find the culprit. _________________________ If this response resolves your problem, please click "Propose as answer" so that the thread can be closed. Windows 7 Errors: d10.dll AND d3d10_1.dll not found - please re-install program
This seems to be affecting crtmediacontroller, Office Communicator, Yahoo messenger, dwm.exe, my Win 7 task bar thumbnail preview options. I've also noticed that my laptop is no longer rated and if I try to re-rate it I receive an error: (The program can't start because d3dll_1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem) I have already restarted, downloaded and installed Direct X 10 from Microsoft, restarted again but this did not resolve the issue. Any ideas and/or suggestions would be most appreciated - Thank you - LyricsterATL
Hi LyricsterATL, I’d suggest you to run System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer to fix the issue. SFC tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions. See How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7 for instructions. Hi HoneyFriedHam, I had to call Dell to get the error corrected. The techie said that is a problem with a microsoft update and restored my computer to a restore date of Thursday. Which corrected the error. He said that Microsoft is aware of the problem and should have a patch to the update within the next 5 days. Good luck
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833 shows me that I have many direct X files that started missing around the same time frame. The missing files are only distributed with the OS so recovery is very difficult and this is very bad if it was caused by the update. Does anybody have more information on this?

windows explorer crash loop reboot to find d3d10_1.dll is not recognised by windows or corrupt
I was browsing the internet and downloaded a bands latest single from their website. As I saved/opened the file I got a windows explorer crash, that kept repeating. I held the power button down and rebooted. Upon restart windows reported that d3d10_1.dll was not recognised by windows and I had no internet access. I went to to type cmd and had white text on white in the start menu. CMD started OK and ipconfig /renew brought my internet back. I downloaded AVG and scanned computer, meanwhile sent the mp3 to myself through hotmail for their virus scanner. I tried a system restore which totally locked up my computer so it wouldnt boot. I tried the win7 disk and after a few attempts at repairs it said it had identified some problems and fixed some of them. The comuter booted and still showed the d3d10_1 error although I now had net access without having to renew my connection. I started google chrome last night and that mentioned a file was not recognised either. Is there any way to get this
Andre', I checked c:\ with system files unhidden and cant see a directory called localdumps. I tried sfc and it found errors but couldnt fix them. The log that this generates is quite huge and had several references to d3d10_1.dll backup being corrupt. I've hacked around and found several copies of d3d10_1.dll in various folders so I copied the one out of directx into system 32 (renamed the current one to d3dcorrupt, it is quite a fair bit larger than the one I replaced it wth). I no longer get the same error but I get an error with wdm.exe - I dont remember to hand exactly what the error was (eg. something like, but probably not 0xc0000076) I checked and it was a file access problem. What exactly does your reg file do?
The reg adds an entry Localdumps under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting\LocalDumps This is explained here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb787181%28VS.85%29.aspx upload the CBS.log to your SkyDrive. "A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/
Hi, This is mostly caused by a incompatible Shell Extension. please download this reg file from my SkyDrive: http://cid-128fc518635be2dc.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/.Public/MS%20Foren/Registry/WER%5E_Explorer.reg and make a double click on the file to import it. If you can't do this, run regedit.exe and import the registry file there! When the Windows Explorer crashes, Windows Error Reporting Service [1] creates a dmp file under C:\Localdumps. Please upload the file to your public Skydrive [2] folder and post the link here. I take a look at the dump with the Debugger, maybe I can see which Shell extension is the cause. For the DLL file issue, please start the command prompt (cmd.exe) with admin rights [3] and run sfc [4]: sfc.exe /scannow Is it able to find and repair broken files? best regards André [1] http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb787181%28VS.85%29.aspx [2] http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 [3] http://w

I had a serious chronic error with Critical Update for Silverlight that failed more than once, so until I could find a solution for that problem I was always disabling that update and 2 others related to Microsoft Office updates that failed too, until I notice a NEW UPDATE for Windows Life Mail which was running on my system perfectly well, I authorized the update and left it to work ...It installed msn messenger, photo gallery, and then suddenly popped a window asking for information on Silverlight that were the original cause of failing to install that update on this particular window I clicked cancel, the window closed and continued the installation, or lest us say seemed to continue the installation installing some ActiveX components, live mail, it was reaching somewhere 70-80% done then would start rolling back to zero% telling me Installation failed click to see... On troubleshooting that problem I could clearly see there was a problem with installing the photo gallery and mainly

Hi Meghmala.. Thanks for your help. The results are........... Method 1: I tried to open up the DirectX Diagnostic Tool... but a window popped up saying: "Error: Could not load DXDIAGN.DLL" So there goes that method. Method 2: I performed the SFC scan as per the steps shown above, and it said: Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th em. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log I then tried to open the log by typing: findstr /C:"[SR] Cannot repair member file" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log >sfcdetails.txt and nothing happened. I also typed "sfcdetails.txt" .. and notepad popped up, but it was blank. I'm not tech smart. So don't know much about the commands and whatnot. Since the error occured, MSN (well, Windows Live altogether) hasn't been working (msnmsgr.exe - Application Error, The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the a
Hi t_gee, Step 1: You may check if the hard disk is having errors or corrupt sectors, which is causing the issue. I would suggest you to use check disk command and check and repair for any errors on hard disk. Warning: Microsoft does not recommend Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
Thanks for that.. I've done what you suggested.. and the problem still exists. Is there anything else I can try?
Hi Meghmala, My laptop is now working. But I didn't do what you suggested above. It was about a week before you posted that last reply. So the last thing I did was the SFC scan -as you suggested. I then found in one of my folders a "registration entry" file (.reg) .. the name of the file is called "cc_20110122_205732" .. I just happened to click on it.. and a box popped up saying something along the lines of .. if I click ok or continue with the action.. changes could/will be made.. I can't remember exactly. Then I restarted my computer.. and everything was back to normal. So I think it had something to do with that and the sfc scan? I'm not completely sure. But am just happy everything works now. Thanks again for your help. Greatly appreciated! Regards, t_gee
I just checked what that box said when I click on it. It says.. Adding information can unintentionally change or delete values and cause components to stop working correctly. If you do not trust the source of this information in C:\Users\Documents\cc_20110122_205732.reg, do not add it to the registry. Are you sure you want to continue? Then I clicked on "Yes".. and when I restarted the computer.. everything all worked~! Thanks again for helping!!
I would follow the suggestions (the marked answer) from this thread: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/111796e9-f6d3-48b7-bb60-0a97e2c64000 . "192 GB ought to be enough for anybody." (from the miniseries "Next Generation's Jokes")
Hi t_gee, Method 1: The file d3d10_1.dll is related to DirectX. You may use the DirectX diagnostic tool and check if it lists any issues. Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
LOL so u messed up ur Windows by having run CCleaner (= cr*p cleaner), and to be more precise it's registry "cleaning" module. As u've learned the hard way, not just unnecessary, but even destructive .. (nerni-nerni-ner-ner! .. ;) ) It should be possible to solve this error by reinstalling the latest DirectX runtimes (appropriate for the effected Windows version).

EXPLORERFRAME.dll and dsd10_1.dll missing
A few hours ago, my computer was working just fine. I turned it off for about an hour, and then I turned it back on to go back on it, but I got the error message "The program can't start because d3d10_1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem" followed by the message "The program can't start because EXPLORERFRAME.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem". After looking up the problem, I ran sfc /scannow in cmd.exe, which I opened through Task Manager. After doing whatever it was doing, it said it couldn't fix my problem. Then, after restarting my computer again, I got a new error. "You may be a victim of software counterfeiting." I know for a fact my copy of Windows 7 is genuine, it came with my PC and I have the disc somewhere. Can anyone please help?
i tried to run sfc/scannow and i get a message that another program is running a scan in the background and to , reboot system..... this just repeats over and over , any thoughts?
Hi Sneakscape , I would suggest you to perform system restore on your computer from WinRe and check if you are able to restore to the correctly working settings . Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think. I just tried both of those things. Nothing was any different after restoring back to 17/01/11, and when SFC was done verification, I got the message "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."
